Kevin A. Peterson is Senior Program Officer for the Upper Valley Region of New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, located in Hanover. Kevin provides overall leadership and direction for programs and initiatives within the Region’s 61-town service area in the Connecticut River valley of Vermont and New Hampshire. He oversees three application grantmaking programs, which annually disburse a total of more than $1 million and is the principal representative for the Foundation in the Upper Valley. Prior to joining the Foundation, Kevin spent 14 years with the Appalachian Trail Conference, where he supervised land protection and management programs along 700 miles of the Appalachian Trail from Maine to Connecticut. A certified EMT for 22 years, he currently serves as president of the Lyme FAST Squad and is a board member of the Foundation Mapping Project. He has held volunteer positions with the Dartmouth Environmental Network, Dartmouth Outing Club, Revels North and Upper Valley Trails Alliance. A 1983 Dartmouth graduate, Kevin spends his free time singing and performing, reading, and recreating in the outdoors. He has been a full-time resident of the Upper Valley since 1986.
